What is CLS Timber?

Canadian Lumber Standard timber – abbreviated to CLS – became popular in Canada for building timber-framed houses. CLS timber is crafted from kiln-dried spruce, pine or fir (whitewood). It is planed and finished with eased edges to create precise tolerances. It offers an aesthetically pleasing finish and also enables easier application of stains, paints and preservatives.
